I was SO excited to see Cody and Lindsey again after having so much fun with the two of them during theirKC Engagement that we took last fall! These two are so much fun and I knew that their wedding would be awesome, and it was!!! It was so beautiful! I loved everything about it! Cody and Lindsey, Thank you so very much for choosing me to be your KC wedding photographer! I’ve had so much fun working with you both and loved capturing your day for you! ENJOY!!!!
We may be biased, but our wedding day was perfect and everything we imagined. Almost everything went without a hiccup- the venue looked beautiful, we had some of our best friends by our side, and most of our loved ones there to share in the joy- what more could we want? We started the day getting ready with our wedding party. We did our first look at the old Skies restaurant which was an absolutely perfect location then took pics around KC before the ceremony. One of our best friends, who was part of the matchmaking group that got Cody and I together, officiated our wedding with the rest of our best friends standing by our side in our wedding party. After the ceremony, we ate, drank, and danced the night away with so many of our friends and family. There truly isn’t anything we would do differently if we did it over.
Not really- I wanted the wedding to be neutral with very subtle pops of color and something that was kind of timeless.
Nothing really out of the ordinary, but I was happy that we did a first look with just the two of us (and our AWESOME photographers capturing the moment of course) and spent a little bit of time soaking it in before taking pictures with everyone else.
One of my bridesmaids, Holly, and I went to grab everyone lunch in Crown Center while some of the bridesmaids were getting their make-up done. We used the skywalk that connects the hotel to Crown Center and made it there without a problem. On the way back, we got COMPLETELY lost for a good 30 minutes. It wasn’t exactly funny at the time since it was hot and we were on a time crunch, but it is now.. how do you even get lost in a sky walk? I don’t know, but we definitely managed it!
This is hard- I really loved everything about the day. It went perfectly, but one of my favorite things was reading our vows to each other. I am so glad we chose to personalize our vows by writing them ourselves and I loved reading them to each other in front of all our friends and family.
I just want to remember the love we felt that day.. how amazing it was to stand in front of the people we love the most reading our vows to each other and officially becoming husband and wife.
I would say don’t stress out, but I really don’t think that is possible. Just remember that it will all be worth it! Try to prioritize what is really important to you and what really doesn’t matter that much to minimize some stress. Also, I think it’s really important to remember this is about the bride and groom.. do things you want to do.. remember you don’t have to do things just because it is the way other people do it.
Absolutely love this touch on her bouquet remembering her dad.
I am happy that we did our research and hired an awesome group of vendors that made wedding planning as easy as possible and made for the wedding we dreamed of.
